🏠 Our story

Aivija preschool began its work in 2003 and is located in Riga, Vidzeme District, Jugla (a green area), at Salamandras Street 4.

The kindergarten operates in a purpose-built facility whose layout, equipment and surrounding territory comply with all requirements and standards of the Republic of Latvia for children’s care.

We are happy to welcome children aged 1 to 7. You will find caring teachers, highly qualified specialists, a cosy environment and a pleasant interior.

📚 Learning process

The learning process is organised in a playful form with regular changes of activities. Small group sizes help children absorb material and learn to listen to peers and adults.

The daily learning process includes:

Learning three languages (Latvian, English, Russian)
Sports activities and corrective gymnastics
Developing maths skills and logical thinking
Early reading and writing skills
Fine motor development
Music and visual arts

🎵 Music and art

Music — music lessons develop musical abilities and a sense of rhythm, and introduce instruments. Children regularly prepare performances with teachers and invite parents. Individual lessons are available for interested families.

Visual arts — one of the ways to develop a sense of beauty. Classes (drawing, modelling, collage, construction) spark interest and encourage children to express their inner world creatively.

🎉 Events and excursions

Alongside learning, children enjoy unforgettable birthdays, festive and entertainment events, as well as exciting trips, excursions and theatre visits.

We aim to develop what is already in each child and create favourable conditions for personal growth. In the afternoons, Aivija offers a wide choice of studios for children, both in groups and individually.

🧪 STEM project

Our kindergarten takes part in a STEM project!

We are pleased to share that our kindergarten has joined an exciting STEM project. The goal of the project is to develop children's interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through play, exploration, and creative activities.

By taking part in the project, our children gain new knowledge and practical experience while developing curiosity, thinking skills, and imagination. As part of the programme, children visit museums and interactive exhibitions, take part in experiments and creative events, and discover the world of science in an engaging and understandable way.
